New style thermo couple clamp by DACO

Hi Gang,
I happened to have a digital type temp gauge offered by Daco that needs a new thermocouple.
The new thermocouple looks very bulks and looks like it would be tough to get in the spots where the old type slips in nicely.
Is anyone using one of the new sytles that can comment on its use.
I also have the old standard analog gauge that I have as well.
