Well, follow back up the thread and you can see a general connection to Al Gore with the neon ban in Vermont. "I wonder if Mr. Gore will be able to monitor the chinese imported neon for mercury amounts"

You're right, it has nothing to do with Republican or Democrat or Libertaian, etc. And I an not a member of any political party - so don't take my note as an endorsement of anyone. I vote regularly for members of all three parties above.

It just seems lately all someone need to get elected is say they're conservative and pro-business. Even if both are untrue. They'll keep getting re-elected, as they slowly legislate an industry out of existence. Here in my state it's particularly frustrating to see increased attention to Hg-users, at the same time pushing to license more coal electric plants. If this is pro-business it certainly isn't pro-My-business.

Just a little sad seeing a politician from 10 years ago taking the heat for someone else - even if in a passing joke. I wish folks would call Jim Douglas instead. This is serious business, and IMERC will most likely be quickly spreading to the other states.
