Who said he did? I know I didn't and I don't think anyone else did either. I just made a general comment that "He has been involved in "environmental concerns" for a long time". Don and I were just having a little fun with it.

During that time period Al was too busy making his movie to be involved or he probably would have been ;-)

And what does being a Republican OR Democrat have to do with anything? Personally, I don't care what side of the aisle someone is on as long as they are *truly* doing something for the good of the people who voted them into office rather than their own agenda to gain recognition for insignificant things and to make money off the tax payers. And therein lies the problem!
