> breakage factor. Just MHO Thanks, DonThere are some shops who are starting to not accept mercury repairs because of this situation. What they do is have their customer make a pattern of the old tube and just bring them the pattern and the "repair" is made new. They leave it up to the sign company to dispose of the old mercury tube along with their old fluorescent lamps. I don't know how this may affect their lamp recycling, but it takes the burden off the neon shop of disposing of any old mercury tubes.
