> that fricking ring drove me nuts.As for the re-labeling by Daco of Eurocom electrodes, why bother? If that is your choice of electrode why buy them from Daco instead of Eurocom unless Daco offers you some kind of price incentive, or better customer service and/or technical support?
The last I heard FMS no longer sells the Almon electrodes. But I could be mistaken.
Interesting comment about the Masonlite electrodes too. The "stupid mica ring" (disc) IS there to center the firing end of the electrode in the glass jacket. So why would it be necessary to manually do that? I guess that means you would not like the Johnny Austin Neon electrodes either, because they have the "stupid mica ring" too? Getting the mercury past it is easy if you just know how to do it: Shake, rattle 'n roll!
