Pricing for Straight and curved glass

I quoted a price for long straight neon for a theater. I was way off ...so I was told. The NY based sign company said they can get 15mm straight or gradual curved for $4/ft. Is that what stuff goes for in NY or am I just a dumb hick. app 800 ft. That would mean an 8ft clear or color, doublebacked and pumped for $32?
