in the u.k you would be looking at between 8 and 10 pounds per hour depending where you live i.e the 8 pound per hour is jusst as good as the 10 if you live in a smaller city / cost of living etc. i have not heard of more than 3 shops paying piece work any more - that seemed to stop around 1990. just for comparison the minimum wage for 18+ is 5.25 p/hr and a top electrician would earn 12 p/hr. but would generally pull less overtime( double rate of pay) i get about 16 hrs per week sometimes more but rarelly less as i am on my own!!!!!! martin
