first of all thanks for all your responces, all of them listned too and all of them taken on board as i stated i am not a begginner but it always helps to have your opinions agreed with of elaborated on in greater detail.

second i have just returned from altering one of the two signs ,after deliberation the changes i made are . i have fabricated the neon into a two row formation rather van 3. i have painted the inside of the casing a high gloss white . i have dropped the tubes as far back as possible.i have reduced the output to 25 ma insted of 50 ma and last but not least have changed the tubing to masonlite hp39 rather than egl designer white 71. despite all these changes the sign still shows signs of the underlying tubing in places although it has improved to some effect. i will try ang get some pictures sorted.it is less patchy and you cant see any noticable difference between 50ma on the left and 25 on the right. if i am correct i am putting this down to the size of the returns with it being a wide letter ,am i correct and can anybody suggest a way of correcting this, without re manufacturing a whole new sign case obviosley.
