Many years ago I did do that, a rope and pulley from the ceiling. Pumping 150 and 250ma electrodes takes a strong arm. I have been using a variac controlled choke, but pumping 4 electrodes at a time the same one from the same lead is slow to get red. I know that it is the choke because I have moved it to another pump station and the problem follows it.
