There is a school based in Benicia Ca that offers courses and is state accredited. I don't know a great deal about their curriculum.

One top notch school worthy of your consideration - albeit away from you, is the Ed Waldrum School of Neon in Texas. A link to his website should be obtainable via the "schools" section of this site.

Another possible option to consider (and a little closer to SF): There resides a very skilled tubebender in Reno. His name is Kenny, and he runs a wholesale shop in the area called "The Color of Neon". He and his Father both have taught privately in the past. It may be worth contacting him to see if he is currently taking students.
